NYCServers has developed a custom program which allows clients to configure their software & trading platforms to automatically start each time their service is rebooted. This is useful for Windows updates, scheduled reboots, and more. Additionally, our custom program also offers the ability for email alerts to be sent to you.

Setup Guide

Step 1) Locate & Open Program

Auto1 Pn On your VPS desktop, locate and open the VPS monitor program.

Step 2) Enable Auto Login

Auto2 Pn Auto login is required so that after your VPS reboots, the system logs itself in to proceed with the auto start process. Enter your current remote desktop password into the box, and click enable auto login

Step 3) Configure Auto Startup

Auto3 Pn Click the auto start up tab, and then click the add new button

Step 4) Select Trading Platforms & Software

Auto4 Pn Next, we will need to select the specific software and trading platforms that you want to start automatically. Navigate to the specific software folder, and select the .exe process. In the example, to auto start MetaTrader 4/5 you will need to navigate to the platform installation folder, and select the terminal.exe or terminal64.exe

MetaTrader 4 default installation folders are located in - C:\Program Files (x86)
MetaTrader 5 default installation folders are located in - C:\Program Files

Step 5) Verify Auto Start

Auto5 Pn After entering a new software for auto start you should now see it displayed inside of the table on the auto startup section. The path should enter with “.exe”

Step 6) Configure Alert Email Address

Auto6 Pn Next, you can also configure alerts to be sent to your email address. Under the alerts tab enter your email address that you wish to get sent alerts, and click save changes.

Step 7) Specify Alert Types

Auto7 Pn Finally, on the monitoring tab enable and configure the alerts settings that you wish to be sent
