In this guide we’ll outline how to change your Windows VPS password. This is the password used to connect to your VPS using remote desktop.

Step By Step Guide

Locate and Open Control Panel

Password1 PnClick the Windows logo located at the bottom left of your VPS screen. Locate the “Control Panel” button on the right side column.

Click Change Account Type

Password2 PnOn the right side column under User Accounts, click “Change account type”.

Select User Account

Password3 PnClick on the user account that you wish to change the password for.

Click Change The Password

Password4 PnOn the next window, click on the link for “Change the password”.

Enter New Password

Password5 PnEnter the new password that you wish to use, and then click “Change password”.The new password will take effect immediately and be used for connecting to your VPS going forward.

Lost Or Forgotten Password?
