Clients may access the VPS via VNC from inside of the client area.

First, navigate to your services page by clicking here. Next, click on the service that you wish to access VNC for. Screenshot below:

Next, using the side menu select the "VNC" option.

Once the VNC screen has loaded perform the steps shown in the video below, and then enter your VPS password. After clicking the enter button you will be signed into the VPS.

Install Multiple MT4/MT5s On Your VPS

Every VPS comes with one MT4/MT5 pre-installed. However it is possible to install additional MT4/MT5s so that you can run multiple accounts from one VPS.

Configuring The Liberty Application

Liberty is a pre-installed application on your VPS that has the ability to automatically log into your VPS and start your software anytime your VPS is restarted, even if you are aware from the computer.

Step 1) Enable auto login

Enabling auto login means that anytime your VPS is restarted it will automatically sign itself into Windows, even if you are not actively using the VPS. This will be required to automatically start your trading software anytime your VPS is restarted.

Enter the administrator password for your VPS and click the "enable auto login" button.

Step 2) Auto Startup

Inside of the auto startup tab we will select which MT4s, MT5s, or other software we want to automatically start when the VPS is booted. Additionally Liberty will automatically monitor any software that you select to make sure that it is always running. For example if an MT4 crashes randomly Liberty will start it back up again, even if you are away from the computer.

Optimize MT4 For Multi-Core VPS Plans

In this guide we will show you how to fix the lag / "not responding" issue you might have seen with your MT4/MT5 if you are using a multi-core VPS system.

Short / non technical explanation - Due to the nature of the MetaTrader software it sometimes has performance issues on multi-core VPS systems. This is related to the software itself, and not our service. This same issue can happen with any VPS service.

Technical explanation - The MetaTrader software is a 32bit application and therefore does not always operate smoothly with virtual multi-core VPS systems. To work around this issue we will be using the Windows CPU affinity settings to bind the MetaTrader service to a single CPU core.

Step 1: Open all MT4/MT5s that you will be using on the VPS

Step 2: Open the task manager program on the VPS. To do this simply right click on the blue bar at the bottom and select task manager.

Step 3: Click on the details tab, and then find the "terminal.exe" files on the list

Step 4: Right click on the first terminal.exe file and select "set affinity"

Checking VPS CPU/RAM Usage

Checking your VPS CPU and RAM usage is important because it shows you how much computing power is remaining on your VPS. When your CPU or RAM usage is high it is a sign that you are running out of power on your current VPS plan, and an upgrade to a more powerful plan might be needed.

Step 1 - Right click on the blue bar at the bottom of your VPS screen. When the menu appears left click on "task manager"

Step 2 - When the task manager program opens click the "Performance" tab on tabbed menu bar. You will then see the CPU and RAM (memory) usage for your VPS.

If you see that your CPU or RAM usage is reaching 100% for long periods of time it is an indication that your current VPS plan is not powerful enough to keep up with the software you are running on your VPS. You will either need to lower the software you are running, or upgrade to a more powerful VPS plan.
